An American national was robbed of his Samsung A7 mobile phone worth P16,000 and cash amounting to P86,750 early Saturday morning in Barangay San Pedro.

In a spot report sent to Palawan News by Police Regional Office (PRO) MIMAROPA spokesperson P/Col. Socrates Faltado, he identified the victim as Milliard Ray Juba, 63, a resident of Houston, Texas, USA who is currently residing in the area where he was robbed.

The report said a certain Erwin Rodriguez reported the incident around 11:30 a.m. on August 10 to the Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO) Station 1.

Initial investigation by the police said unidentified suspects may have gained entry to Juba’s rented apartment in San Pedro using a flat tool to open the door and and steal the mobile phone and cash.

There was no CCTV installed in the apartment and the establishments nearby to know the identities of the suspects.
