The provincial government assured Thursday that all the overseas Filipino workers who had returned to Palawan underwent rapid diagnostic tests (RDT), including the 10 who arrived on May 31 and proceeded to their respective municipalities.
The head of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) and Emergency Operations Center (EOC) who made the clarification, was reacting to claims being made on social media that some of those who have gone back to their hometowns did not undergo testing.
“Na-rapid test ng ating provincial government sa ating isolation facility bago sila pinauwi. ‘Yong may mga sundo, kaagad na-rapid test muna sila,” Jeremias Alili, PDRRMO chief, said.
He added that all of them are also under quarantine isolation as part of health protocols.
“Nakauwi na sila pero naka-quarantine sila at naka-isolate sila,” Alili added.
An returning overseas Filipino (ROF), who sought anonymity, said the local health officials have started contacting them individually to explain the tracing process.
“Kagabi tinawagan kami ni doc isa-isa. Pinaliwanagan ng situation and na masa-swab kami maybe tomorrow or next day,” the ROF said.
