Palarong Panlalawigan 2019 in Bataraza town is expected to host some 7,000 coaches and athletes from different elementary and secondary schools in the province before it kicks off on November 10.

Grace Estefano, division information officer of the DepEd Palawan, said 2,000 are officials and 5,000 are athletes.

“Nagsimula nang dumating doon sa Bataraza noong October 28. Latest ay may dumating din na delegation na maaga noong November 2,” she said.

She said delegations from the municipalities of Linapacan, Cagayancillo, Taytay, Roxas, Araceli, El Nido, Coron, Busuanga, and Culion were the first to get to the provincial sports meet in Bataraza, traveling there since October 28.

The farthest delegation will come from Kalayaan island municipality in the West Philippine Sea. The delegation is expected to arrive on November 5, depending on the weather condition.

“Based on information from Dr. Allyn Gonda, the education program supervisor/division schools sports officer, may participation ang Kalayaan, but ang confirmation of arrival ng November 5 ay depende sa weather,” Estefano said.

Estefano said Palarong Panlalawigan will have Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa as a special guest on opening day on November 10.
