Police authorities arrested seven individuals for playing the illegal card game called “bet game” on May 25 in Purok 3, Barangay Alimanguan, San Vicente.
A report at the Palawan Provincial Police Office (PPO) identified the arrested persons as Cherry Ann Cantiga Francisco, Marlyn Galvez Cañete, Vivian Campus Bandal, Antony Amante Openiano, Cheryl Regino Tanchico, Linda Oncepido Openiano, and Nilda Amante Quejano.
Their arrest was the result of the town police’s anti-illegal gambling operation, the report said.
A total of P372 along with a set of playing cards was confiscated from the suspected violators of Presidential Decree 1602.
