Sixty four scholars of the provincial government were among the newest batch of Nursing Licensure Examination passers.

Provincial information officer Atty. Christian Jay Cojamco said all of them were nursing graduates of the Palawan State University (PSU) who hailed from different municipalities and Puerto Princesa City.

They took the licensure exam in November this year, and were scholars of the Palawan provincial government under the Programang Pang-Edukasyon para sa mga Palaweño (PPP).

“Ang mga nasabing iskolar ay tinulungan ng pamahalaang panlalawigan sa pamamagitan ng PPP, o ang Medical Scholarship Program, na ang pangunahing layunin ay makapagbigay ng tulong sa mga karapat-dapat na mga estudyante na nais kumuha ng kursong medisina at iba pang medical-related courses gaya ng nursing,” Ocampo said.

Cojamco said one of the goals too of the administration of Governor Victorino Dennis Socrates is to step up the delivery of health services to the people of Palawan, and to improved the province’s health sector through the PPP scholarship program

“Inaasahan na maglilingkod sila sa mga susunod na araw sa mga ospital na pinangangasiwaan ng pamahalaang panlalawigan sa iba’t ibang munisipyo,” Cojamco said.
