Five persons were injured in a vehicular accident in Narra Wednesday.
P/Maj. Carlito Valdez, officer in charge in Narra Municipal Police Station (MPS), said an SUV crashed along the national highway when its driver lost control of the wheel after one of its front tires exploded.
The driver, identified as Jerry Calamba, MENRO officer of Rizal town and his passengers, his wife Nelly and their granddaughters, were injured and brought to the Narra Municipal Hospital for treatment.
P/SSg Oliver Lagan, case investigator, said the SUV was traveling from Rizal going to Puerto Princesa City when its left front tire exploded.
“Pumutok ‘yong gulong sa may unahan sa left side, after noon hindi na niya na-control, napunta sa gilid na malalim na part ng lupa, sumemplang na, umikot na at ‘yon na,” he said.
The vehicle was brought to the police station for temporary custody.
