3 nabbed for illegal drugs in Coron

Three men were arrested for illegal drugs in different operations of the Coron Municipal Police Station (MPS), Sunday.

P/Capt. Ric Ramos, spokesperson of Palawan Provincial Police Office (PPPO), identified them as Ronnie Dimalibot Dabuit, 53, construction worker, and a resident of Sitio Bukal-Bukal, Barangay Guadalupe.

The other two from different incidents were Jeremiah James Anday Pinto, 18, and Ronald Amit Talatagod, 20, helper, both residents of Brgy. Poblacion 2.

Dabuit was arrested for illegal drugs peddling in Brgy. Guadalupe.

The authorities were able to buy 1 piece sachet of suspected drugs for the amount of P500.

Recovered from Dabuit were 21 heat-sealed transparent sachet believed to be shabu and drug paraphernalia.

Meanwhile, Pinto and Talatagod were on board their motorcycle when they almost hit a policeman conducting surveillance monitoring.

The authorities stopped them, but Pinto accidentally dropped one sachet containing alleged marijuana dried leaves.

Upon seeing this, the police arrested them.

Recovered from Pinto was a piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet allegedly containing dried leaves of marijuana, while from Talatagod, were three pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing dried leaves of alleged marijuana, two pieces disposable lighters, and a Suzuki motorcycle.

The suspects will be facing a case in violation of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
