The holding this month of the 2nd Palawan Hospitality Trade Show will help create business-to-business connections between the province’s accommodation operators and the country’s leading hospitality industry suppliers to assist in upgrading essential services for travellers.

Michelle Solomo, the overall event coordinator and owner/manager of MS Hospitality Services, said  the key trade show event that was held on March 15-16 at the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Centro was participated by suppliers of bed sheets, essential oils, linens, bath towels, eco-friendly chemical agents, wines and spirits, and even pest control businesses.

“I think it’s time for the hotel suppliers to help upgrade the services of all hotels and other accommodations in Palawan through high-quality materials. This is why this trade show was established for all the hoteliers in the island province to build bridges for better business,” Solomo said.

Solomo said she was happy that more suppliers participated in the trade show to help Palawan’s hotel entrepreneurs “give nothing but the best quality of services any traveler would dream of.”

The two-day trade show had exhibitors as Globalinens, provider of high-quality pillows and liners; JTPrevotet Home Furnishing, whose business is native-inspired furniture with modern touch; Classy Linen and HeiJun, supplier of toiletries and trolleys as well as linens; Canadian Bedding, providing great quality comforters and duvets, and Universal Towels, specializing in towel embossment.

Aside from suppliers, some resorts in Palawan also attended and offered promo rates and other activities, such as Astoria Palawan and Blue Palawan Beach Club.

The highlight of the event is the introduction of Lakan: Extra Premium Philippine Lambanog by Anthony C. Manguiat, president and CEO of the Philippine Craft Distillers, Inc.

She said Lakan showcased the lambanog’s “true heritage spirit that is made for the whole world to enjoy.”

It is classic yet exquisite in taste and used the latest world-class technology in the distillation process.

The lambanog garnered Gold Awards from the Monde Selection International Quality Institute during the 53rd and 55th World Selection of Spirits and Liqueur in 2015 and 2017.

In order to formally promote Lakan to the hotels, resorts and restaurants of Palawan, Manguiat personally appointed Golden Chateau Cellar as their primary partner in the island.
