Two men were arrested in separate drug buy-bust operations of the city police Tuesday.
The suspected drug peddlers were identified by the police as Edmond Castro Villaruel, 34, an electrician and a resident of Pajara Road, Barangay Sta. Monica, and Roselino Gonzales Alonzo, 35, a resident of Brgy. San Miguel.
Police authorities claimed in reports that Villaruel was arrested in Peneyra Road, Barangay San Pedro by personnel of the Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO) Station 1 and the Anti-Crime Task Force (ACTF).
Authorities were able to buy from Villaruel one-piece plastic sachet containing suspected shabu for P1,000.
Meanwhile, Alonzo was arrested in Gomez Road, Barangay Sta. Monica by the PPCPO Station 2. A piece of transparent plastic sachet suspected to be containing shabu worth P1,200 was bought from him by a police undercover agent.
Both will be facing cases for violating the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
