Two suspected shabu peddlers were arrested by the police on Saturday afternoon during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tagumpay, Coron.

Palawan Provincial Police Office (PPO) spokesperson P/Capt. Ric Ramos said anti-drugs agents and police operatives arrested Agustin Espayos Abid, 40, and Christopher Padulina Rejano, 36, both residents of the municipality.

Confiscated from their possession were the P500 that was used as buy-bust money and the two pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets that were sold to their undercover agent by Abid.

Other items that were seized from Rejano were a transparent plastic sachet with a white crystalline substance also believed to be shabu, four pieces of aluminum foils, a stainless scissor, matchsticks, a leather sling bag, and a Honda Beat motorcycle.

The operation was conducted by joint personnel of the Coron Municipal Police Station (MPS) and 1st Company of Regional Mobile Force Batallion (RMFB) Police Regional Office MIMAROPA.

Cases for violation of Section 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, are being readied for filing in court against the suspects.
