Two men suspected of peddling shabu were arrested in an undercover operation by anti-illegal drugs authorities on Saturday evening in Barangay Maningning.

Police Maj. Lourence Bataller, commander of the City Police Station 1, identified the suspects as Kristoffer Pahamutang Salvador, 25, and Jomel Salvador Domondon, 41, both residents of the Puerto Princesa.

He said the two were under surveillance for a week before the buy-bust was carried out to arrest them by the drug enforcement team of Station 1, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU), and the Anti-Crime Task Force (ACTF) of the city government.

Bought from the suspects was a piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet allegedly containing shabu worth P500.

They are now under the custody of the police and are facing cases for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
