Two municipal councilors in Coron who were flagged as persons under investigation (PUI) and confined in isolation have tested negative for COVID-19.

Dr. Allan Guintapan chief of the Municipal Health Office (MHO) in Coron, said Wednesday night that their test results returned negative on Tuesday from the Regional Institute of Tropical Medicine (RITM).

“Kahapon (March 24) po dumating ang result, negative po. Andito na sila sa kani-kanilang mga barangay,” Dr. Guintapan said.

The two councilors were placed in isolation at the Culion Sanitarium and General Hospital (CSGH) on March 14 after they manifested COVID-19 symptoms. Their swabs were immediately collected and sent to the RITM for examination.
