Joining the nationwide rally against former President Ferdinand Marcos’ surprised burial at Libingan ng mga Bayani, some students and other youth groups gathered on Friday, November 24, at the People’s Amphitheater in Puerto Princesa to express their indignation.
Among the group’s calls is the removal from text books or any reading history materials passages that shall address the late Marcos Sr as a hero.
Kabataan Partylist-Palawan, the National Union of Students-Palawan and staff of Pioneer, the student publication of Palawan State University, organized the said rally attended by participants from different sectors. The said group also held a candle-lighting ceremony last week shortly after Marcos Sr.’s burial.
