Vehicular accident injures two students in Narra

Two female high school students are currently being treated at the Narra Municipal Hospital for suffering serious injuries when their motorcycle collided with a delivery van yesterday, April 1.

Senior Inspector Ric Ramos, information officer of the provincial PNP, did not identify the two students but said the driver of the delivery van, 44-year old Jonathan Cassion, voluntarily surrendered to police authorities in Narra.

Ramos said to Palawan News that the high school students were not wearing helmets when the accident happened along the national road in Barangay Tacras.

He said the motorcycle riders tried to overtake a passenger bus using the opposite lane where the delivery van was approaching.

Additional investigation is still being conducted by the Narra Municipal Police Station. A case of reckless imprudence resulting to serious physical injuries might be filed against Cassion.
