The start of the World Bank-funded road concreting project in the interior barangays of Taradungan and Antonino in Roxas town is expected next year, an official said on Monday.
Liga ng mga Barangay president and outgoing punong barangay of Antonino, Job Laderas, said the project has a funding of P100 million under the World Bank’s Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP).
The concreting project will traverse in an old existing road from barangay Taradungan to Antonino, passing through Sitio Pakiye and Purok Ilang-ilang part of Barangay Antonino.
“Makikita natin na kung dito dadaan ang project ay magiging maayos na ang kalsadang ito. Next year ay magsisimula na ito,” he said.
Zosima Caabay, a farmer, who once served as a kagawad being an Indigenous People Mandatory Representative (IPMR) told Palawan News that she expects more products to reach their village once the project is completed.
