At about 11:45 a.m. of Tuesday, February 14, rape suspect Dante Ado, 42 y/o, was nabbed in a joint operation conducted by the Bataraza Municipal Police Station at Barangay Culandanum, Bataraza, Palawan. SPO4 Agustin Aban led the police operatives under the supervision of PCI Ramerico Remo, together with the elements of Narra MPS as led by PINSP Dhayrius Redondo.
In a spot report provided by the Palawan Provincial Police Station (PPPO), Ado, who is a resident of the said place, was arrested following a warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Judge Nelia Yap Fernandez of RTC Branch 50 for the crime of rape, docketed under criminal case number 20154 with no recommended bail bond.
The police also found in Ado’s possession a short firearm, identified as a 12-gauge homemade shotgun, with three live ammunition wrapped around his waist, along with an improvised holster and magazine pouch. He is currently under the custody of Bataraza MPS and will later be brought to the court of origin as soon as possible.
A case for violation of RA 10591 for illegal possession of firearms is also being prepared against the said suspect. Progress report will follow.
