The Palawan Provincial Police office kicked off its intensified anti- drug campaign with a “Takbo Laban sa Droga” in Rizal town, Palawan.
Senior Supt. Benjamin Acorda Jr., provincial police office said the project in coordination with the Rizal municipal government, “symbolizes the unity of all stakeholders to solve the illegal drug problem.”
Thoe who participated were barangay officials, municipal officials and employees, Acorda said.
The activity will also include a lecture on the harmful effects of illegal drugs, an information dissemination campaign including the distribution of the hotline number of the police where the public could report cases of illegal drugs selling, distribution and usage.
“It is not only promoting anti- illegal drugs but also promoting good health at inaasahan natin na ang resulta ng aktibidad na ito ay ang commitment ng ating mga kababayan na makipagtulungan sa mga kapulisan na magbigay sa atin ng mga impormasyon o sumbong sa kanilang mga nalalaman na nagtutulak at gumagamit ng ipinagbabawal na gamot sa kanilang lugar,” Acorda said.
The anti-drug fun run will also be conducted in other towns in the province.
