Provincial Board to conduct investigation on Quezon’s Sanitary Landfill

Board member Ponce de Leon wants provincial IT unit to create a computer app for boarding house seekers

The recent fire on the temporary sanitary landfill in  Quezon town has alarmed residents as it endangers the health and safety of the people.

This prompted the Provincial Board of Palawan to investigate the landfill which supposedly been addressed by the local government unit long time ago, according to Board Member Al Rama, chair of the Committee on Environment.

Residents of Sitio Reserbasyon, Brgy. Alfonso Trese were alarmed by the recent incident because the landfill is located near the residential area and the campus of Western Philippines University.

Rama said that he is wondering why the LGU did not address the problem considering the hazards the landfill poses to the people.
