PNP Chief PDG Marquez visits Palawan

Police Director General Ricardo Marquez paid his “last visit” to Palawan as Out-going Chief of Philippine National Police on Tuesday, May 31.

After the Palawan Police Provincial Office and Puerto Princesa City Police rendered an Arrival Honors for Marquez, a closed-door program was conducted for the awarding ceremony for police personnel who showed exemplary conduct in the performance of their sworn duties. According to a police officer who refused to be directly quoted, the awards were intended to give credits to their performance during the May 9 elections.

In his message, PDG Marquez extended his gratitude to the collective contributions of the members of PNP in the conduct of police operations and over-all accomplishments in making sure that the will of the people took prime importance in the recently concluded national and local elections.

Meanwhile, a command conference was conducted at the Skylight Convention Center after the awarding ceremony. PNP Regional Director PCSupt Ramon Apolinario facilitated the Post-Election Assessment Report of the 2016 National and Local Elections Security Coverage.

PDG Marquez was welcomed by PSSupt Benjamin Acorda Jr, Provincial Director of Palawan-PPO and PSSupt Redentor Maranon, City Director of Puerto Princesa -CPO. Provincial Directors of Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and all Chiefs of Police of different municipalities in Palawan were also present.
