Pala’wans hold culture fest

Traditional games and dances highlight the IP Festival in Bataraza.

A Pala’wan indigenous community in Guimba Village, Barangay Malitub, Bataraza recently held its first indigenous community festival showcasing their traditional culture and practices.

The festival was organized with the help of Community Development personnel from Rio Tuba Nickel Mining Corporation (RTNMC) led by Simbil Adjimin who is also a Pala’wan native.

The festival was attended by over a hundred residents led by Chieftain Kirito Singgit who presented traditional dances and held traditional games.

Games and quizzes about the programs and projects pertaining to Social Development & Management Program of RTNMC and Coral Bay Nickel Corporation (CBNC) were also part of the celebration.
