Crime fighting in Palawan gets a much needed boost with the arrival of 23 new patrol cars for the Palawan Provincial Police Office.
The new patrol cars were issued to the province during the turnover ceremonies in Camp Vicente Lim, in Calamba, Laguna on August 17.
The ceremonies were led by interior Sec. Mar Roxàs and Police Director General Ricardo Marquez.
Palawan provincial police director Benjamin Acorda said the new vehicles will be a big help in maintaining the peace and order in Palawan.
It can also be used in rescue operations during calamities and disasters.
Acorda said that the new patrol cars brings to a total of 30 patrol cars of the Palawan police.
“We will deploy it to the different towns to boost their police visibility in their areas of responsibility,” he said.
The national government purchased 500 patrol cars to boost the anti-crime campaign in the country.
