The Provincial Government of Palawan is tightening its security measures despite the absence of threat to proactively ensure the safety of the employees and the public.

“Kaligtasan ng publiko ang layunin ng paghihigpit ng seguridad at walang anumang banta sa loob ng kapitolyo,” said Provincial Legal Officer Teodoro Jose S. Matta.

The Capitol is now implementing strict policies at the entrance and exit of the building. Everybody should use the capitol main entrance and exit located along Rizal Avenue. This policy means that all other entry and exit points in the Capitol premises will no longer be utilized especially the gates along Fernandez Street.

Those who have transaction with the Provincial Board are advised to use the main gate.

There will be color coded identification card to be issued by security personnel at the entrance door of the capitol. The color of the ID corresponds to the office they will visit or transact with.

Atty. Matta said that they expect resistance from the public to the newly implemented policy but this has to be done to lessen the risk of terrorism attack. He stressed that this measure is not relative to the election but to impress discipline to the people.
