The Department Of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) data shows that numbers of beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the province gradually decreases from 72, 376 in 2014 to 71,758 in 2015.
According to Provincial Grievance Officer Michael Carpio, this is due to the fact that many of the students-beneficiaries have already been graduated in their respective schools thus deleted from the master list. Most of them have expressed gratitude for the said program have helped them a lot in their financial needs and enable themselves to graduate, he added.
At present, the DSWD is strictly monitoring the parents who were receiving monetary allowance for their children. It is recalled that 36 members were eliminated from the program after they have been proven that the supposed allowance were spent in gambling.
Carpio added that their agency is doing all possible means to update the release of 4Ps allowance for respective beneficiaries.
