NBI NABS SUSPECT IN BRIDGE COUPLE STABBING

After almost a month of hiding the suspect in the stabbing of a couple last month was finally caught,

 

The suspect Angelito Tapaya alias “Angel”, 20 was caught by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Wednesday in the hills of Rizal town.

 

Tapaya is the suspect behind the fatal stabbing of Brian Bridge and his Filipina wife Estrelita last June 16 in Brgy. San Rafael, Puerto Princesa City

 

NBI Special Investigator 3 Cedric Caabay said that based on his affidavit, the suspect admitted the crime.

 

Tapaya said that Bridge is “matapobre” or discriminated against him.

 

He added that he had no plans to injure Esterelita but he was forced to also stab her after she saw he had stabbed her husband.

 

He also said that he used a scissor to stab the victims that led to the death of Brian

 

Recovered from the suspect was a knife and a cellphone.

 

He also admitted that he has a previous theft and frustrated murder case in Tacloban City and was previously served jail time for a separate frustrated murder charge.

 

Tapaya is now in the custody of the NBI- Palawan.
