Narra town council approves 2018 budget

Sangguniang Bayan of Narra approves P308 million budget for 2018

The Sangguniang Bayan of Narra approved on Wednesday, December 5, its 2018 budget amounting P308 million.

Councilor Bayani Agapito, Chairman of Committee on Finance said that budget for 2018 has increased from this year’s budget of only P208 million.

The Maintenance and Operating Expenses (MOOE) under the Mayor’s Office was budgeted for P67M while the Sangguniang Bayan Office has a budget allocation of P8.5M.

The Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator’s Office has P1.2 M and the local budget office has P610,000. The Treasurer’s Office has P2M and the Municipal Assessor’s office has P391,000. The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office has P10 M, the Agriculture Office has P2,7 M while the Health Office has P5 M.

The municipality also budgeted P4.5 M for its local tourism promotion, P7.5 for the Narra Water Supply System Unit  and P7.5 M for sports development.
