Board Member Cherry Pie Acosta has called the provincial government’s attention to rehabilitation and concreting needs of provincial roads in Roxas town connecting to San Vicente.
During her sponsorship speech on the Sangguniang Panlalawigan regular session, January 9, Acosta said the bad condition of the road has been affecting the economy in the area which are often muddy.
She said that the situation of the provincial roads and bridges along Purok Capalan and Sitio Little Caramay, Barangay Magara which connecting to Caruray, San Vicente should be given immediate action.
“Naiintindihan natin ang mga projects but ang tinitignan natin dito ay ‘yong mga tao nagta-transport ng mga product lalo na kapag bagyo. We cannot set aside ‘yong mga ganitong problema, kailangan na ng immediate attention,” she said.
Acosta said she understands that the provincial government has its priority projects, adding that road issues like this should be given a solution as there are no changes for how many years.
“Ang mga hinaing talaga ng ating mga kababayan ay talagang long time ago pa. Sana ay magawan ng paraan ang mga ganitong issue,” she said.
