Gabriela rep blasts administration over contractualization

Gabriela partylist Rep. Arlene Brosas explains that while the present administration has promised to end contractualization, HB 6908 still allows job contractors to supply workers to companies.

Visiting Gabriela partylist Rep. Arlene Brosas criticized the Duterte administration’s alleged failure to deliver on its promise to end labor contractualization.

Brosas, who was in Puerto Princesa City Saturday, said even the administration backed Tenure Security Bill filed before the House of Representatives does not end contractualization, a promise made by Duterte during the presidential campaign.

She explained that while the present administration has promised to end contractualization, HB 6908 still allows job contractors to supply workers to companies.

She said this means the employment of the supplied workers are still not secured.
