Better last than never.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Palawan is set to release the much-delayed government financial grant under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program or 4P’s program to its thousands of beneficiaries in the province starting next week.
Gerald Bediores, officer in charge of the 4P’s in the province, said the release is for beneficiaries who has not yet received their grants last March and April as those for May and June are still being processed.
She said that on September 28, beneficiaries from Busuanga and Coron. On September 29 it will be those from Aborlan, Agutaya, Cullion, Cuyo, Magsaysay, Narra, Roxas, Linapacan and Puerto Princesa City.
On October 5, it will be the turn of the beneficiaries from Brooke’s Point, Quezon and Sofronio Española and on the next day it will those from Dumaran and Taytay.
On October 13- Araceli and San Vicente and October 20- El Nido.
Bediores said that towns that are not on the list will have to wait for their schedules.
“The delay was caused by the change of conduit by the Land Bank of the Philippines,” she said.
