The Department of Trade and Industry is expecting a significant increase in the number of tourists who will visit Estrella Falls in Narra town as concreting of road leading to it is already finished.
In a ceremonial turn-over, Tuesday, tourism regional director Atty. Minerva Aldaba Morada said Estrella Falls has 50,000 average tourists every year.
“Now that the road is concrete it is expected that more tourists will visit the place,” Director Morada said.
It is also expected that income of the LGU from Estrella Falls will significantly increase.
The convergence road project will also benefit residents of rBgy. Malatgao where Estrella Falls is located.
The 8- kilometer road project from the national highway to Estrella Falls is worth P134M and supervised by the Department of Public Works and Highways.
The turn-over ceremony was attended by DPWH Assistant Regional Direcotr Nicasio Tambal, Vice-Mayor Crispin Lumba, Jr, Municipal Councilors Ryan Maminta and Maribel Buñi.
Another road project was turned-over by DPWH to the DOT in Taytay town.
The road is 2.55 kilometers from Sandoval Airport to the town proper where Fuerza de Sta. Isabel (Taytay Port) is located.
