Bataraza village gets new barangay hall

RTNMC and CBNC inaugurates the new barangay of hall of Bgy. Iwahig, Bataraza that worh P1.1 million.

Greater access to better and inclusive public service may be expected by residents of Barangay Iwahig, Bataraza with the recent inauguration of a new barangay hall held last September 11, 2017.

The said infrastructure that cost P1.5 million is a joint project of Rio Tuba Nickel Mining Corporation and Coral Bay Nickel Corporation through the initiative of the Council of Barangay Iwahig.

“Nagpapasalamat po kami sa RTNMC at CBNC dahil natugunan na ang matagal na pangangailangan ng Barangay Iwahig. Magiging maayos na ngayon ang pagserbisyo namin dahil may opisina na kami,” Punong Barangay Hanli Asgali said during his acceptance speech.

The new barangay hall is equipped with conference speakers, desktop computers, solar panel, television, satellite, cabinet, tables and chairs which are also funded through the SDMP of RTNMC and CBNC.

Gracing the event were Sangguniang Bayan Members of Bataraza Al Ibba and Rhea Agustin, representative of DILG of the Municipality of Bataraza.

Punong Barangay Hanli Asgali and Reynaldo Dela Rosa, Comrel Manager led the ribbon cutting. The latter congratulated the Barangay Council and their constituents.  Hundreds of residents of the said barangay had witnessed the inauguration.

The barangay site where the hall was erected amounts to Php1.1 million which was also acquired through Social Development and Management Plan fund. Aside from the administrative office, the livelihood program of their barangay such as the coffee and ginger plantation, cooperative office, warehouse, Madrasa (informal school teaching Islamic education) and multipurpose solar dryer which are all funded by RTNMC and CBNC through SDMP were also established on that site.
