The annual Baragatan Festival is set to open with a blast on June 15 after a soft opening on June 8.
Caesar Sammy Magbanua, Chairman ng 2015 Baragatan Executive Committee,said the theme for this year is “Pamahalaan at Mamamayan, magkabalikat sa tuwid na daan.”
Magbanua said the provincial government has allotted P5 million for the event.
Among the activities lined up are JCA shoot fest at the firing range of Western Command set on June 12- 14, and Arts and Photo Exhibit onJune 15- 23, float competition on June 15 that will start from the Cathedral.
A food fair called Caraenan sa Baragatan will open at the Don Pedro Vicente Park, a Palawan Souvenir Fair at the Covered Court and a Private Trade Fair at the Capitol Grounds are also must see events.
Magbanua said the acceptance of participants will be on a “first come, first served basis.”
Applicants for the food festival will need to submit copies of the health cards of their food handlers, sanitary permit, Mayor’s permit, DTI o SEC Registration,Certified True Copy ng BIR registration community tax certificate, copy of official receipt and fill up an application form with a 2×2 ID picture.
They also need to pay P5,000.00 as participation fee to the Provincial Treasurer’s Office.
The Baragatan Festival will be until June 23.
