Banned ipil lumber confiscated in Port Barton

Ipil lumber confiscated by authorities.

Authorities confiscated on Wednesday 140 pieces of banned Ipil lumber from a compound in Barangay Port Barton, San Vicente, Palawan.

The confiscated items were taken from Peter Ollos, a foreign national, and Ayesha Ollos. They will be charged with violation of PD705 or the Forestry Code.

This operation was a joint effort of the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development Staff, Bantay Palawan Task Force, Regional Intelligence Division, San Vicente Police Station, San Vicente Enforcement Task Force and local barangay officials.
