A Sure Promise

“Therefore strong peoples will glorify you; cities of ruthless nations will fear you.” Isaiah 25:3

The day is coming when all peoples of the earth will acknowledge that Jesus Christ is God and true Lord of the nations. Right now, it seems impossible because there are hundreds and thousands of religions and belief systems all over the world. However, we are not talking here about religions and denominations, albeit it’s difficult to separate God from religious beliefs. We are pertaining here to faith, real faith, in the Son of God. Or, let’s just say, all the peoples of the earth, great and small alike, will fear the Lord and wouldn’t be able to deny that Jesus is Lord. It is a promise of God written in the Bible, and it shall be done.

Even strong and independent people are never utterly strong and capable on their own, because whichever way we look at it, man’s life is still like grass, here now and gone later. No one could ever boast that they can produce life and keep life. It all depends still on the Lord’s grace.

The certainty of this event happening relies on the Word of God, to which it is said, “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” Isaiah 40:8

The Word of God contains thousands of promises that God will surely fulfill, in His own terms, in His proper time, and in His most appropriate way. All we have to do is put our faith in God, continue to seek Him, and His promises shall be done in our lives…for our best!

Just like how we would see that kings and kingdoms, rulers and nations, will fear and glorify God. This is a sure promise.
