Three persons including an 8-month old infant were killed and 14 others were injured when a passenger bus rammed through a stationary private vehicle along the national highway in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Puerto Princesa City.

A spot report from the City police said a San Isidro passenger bus carrying 28 passengers was headed to the city proper and was passing through Barangay Sta. Cruz when it lost its brakes and hit a parked Toyota FX, which had five passengers inside apart from its driver.

Three of the bus’ passengers, including an 8-month-old infant, died on the spot, according to the police report. They were identified as Fernandez (baby), Anna Liza Tadle and Emilita Abid.

The police report stated that the driver of the private vehicle had just stopped by the roadside to check his engine when the passenger bus in the opposite lane went out of control and rammed into them head-on.
